Management Referrals
If you’re dealing with repeated absences, long-term health issues, or supporting a colleague who is physically present but struggling at work, we’re here to assist.
Our user-friendly online portal gives you flexibility:
- Use onscreen prompts to tailor your referral, ensuring it addresses your specific questions. You can upload essential documents like job descriptions, absence records, or GP reports.
- Option for a pre-consultation call between a health professional and the referring manager/HR, subject to the colleague’s consent, to discuss the case in detail.
- After submitting your referral online, we immediately reach out to your colleague to outline the process and schedule an appointment with a health advisor.
The health advisor’s report, typically ready within 24 hours of the consultation and with your colleague’s consent, is uploaded to your dashboard. This report offers a thorough background, clear recommendations, and suggested next steps for both you and your colleague.
Regarding GPs and Specialists:
We understand that involving a colleague’s doctor or specialist may cause delays, especially with the current NHS pressures. We only request additional reports when absolutely necessary for the case’s resolution.
Requests for reports are made through your colleague to expedite the process. While such referrals are rare, a minor administrative fee, in addition to any GP surgery charges for the report, is applied to cover costs.
In exceptional cases where advice from our network of Occupational Health Physicians is needed for the report, an additional fee may apply. However, we ensure full transparency and communication with both you and your colleague throughout the process.
Health Surveillance: On-Site & Online
Health surveillance plays a crucial role in supporting your employee wellness goals and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Noise Regulations, and other related standards.
We offer a comprehensive suite of online health assessments to cater to various needs, including pre-employment checks, assessments for home-workers, stress, respiratory health, working at heights, Display Screen Equipment (DSE), cold environment workers, as well as risk assessments for new and expectant mothers, among others.
Initiating an online health assessment is straightforward, requiring only basic contact information for your employee. They can then complete their assessment online, which will be meticulously reviewed by a clinician, often within less than 24 hours.
For our onsite services, we start by understanding your specific needs, which could range from lung function and vision tests to audio, motor skills, skin, and mental health assessments, and setting a preferred schedule for conducting these medical examinations. We manage the entire process, including distributing pre-medical questionnaires, carrying out the health evaluations, providing clinical feedback to your employees, and issuing necessary certifications.
